There's that "freaky Heissner Gnome" of mine... I'm thinking of selling him!!!
Anyone want to buy an Authentic German Heissner Gnome??? There's just
something about the way his eyes follow me... ;)

Standing at the back of the "new yard" and looking back at the house.
All the white areas on the house are newly replaced siding and still need
to be painted. Once the painting is done... there are more gnomescaping
plans for up close to the house :)

The Giant Mushroom House is only there temporarily. It is NOT to scale with the Rein Portvliet Gnomes and will have to be "moved" to another "Gneighborhood"

And I STILL have this GIANT empty corner to deal with! The Crepe Myrtle ("Red Rocket") I planted two years ago is just not getting big enough fast enough for me! Crepe Myrts are Florida's equivalent to the Lilac Bush -- which doesn't grow in Florida.
However, in my opinion... NOTHING compares to a Lilac Bush.... :( *sigh*
I may have to transplant it and put something else back there. Still pondering it...

Back up by the house now... I have this small water garden in a barrel. No that isn't what you "think" it is growing in there! It's actually a water hibiscus!

Look, off to the right you can see that Gnapster is still taking it easy -- just hanging around in that planter

Yes of course it is!

Great job on the garden, I just love it!

Thank you GnomeHopper! I appreciate all your kind words...

And.... ahem... about that "water hibiscus".... LMAO! If it WASN'T a water hibiscus I sure as hell wouldn't have posted a picture of it! I'll make sure to snap a shot of it when it is blooming in case the FBI is browsing this Forum...

Baaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Hey -- it could happen! :) FBI Peeps can be into Gnomescaping too!

What's next on the GnomeScaping List???

The "Beach Gnomes" need a home of their own in the Sanctuary -- I can not wait to get started on this adventure. It's going to be a lot of fun. I have been collecting things for this project for quite a while now...

The "Boys" have been very sweet in waiting their turn -- but this IS their favorite time of year and they are ready to kick back and do what gnomes to best... ENJOY LIFE!

I"ll start a new thread when the Beach Gnomescaping begins!

OMG Miss Gnomer, being new to Phenomegnome, I have finally run across these pix of your Yard on some old threads....WOW!
Your yard should be on the cover of a magazine... So tastefully done and beautifully landscaped
Its exactly what I want to do in my backyard, but I'm having fun looking at your pix and dreaming..
One question... I love the Ex-large Wooden GNOME DOOR... How tall is it ?_____and where did you get that? ____
Also your gnome bridge looks big also ...How big?_________
I have a wooden fence that it would be perfect in front of & I'm trying to get gnomescaping ideas.
Your gardening tips were so helpful. So glad I found all this info & Pix
I think I want to put some Rein Poortvliet gnomes out there.....
XOXO
Thanks, Sherry

Awwww! Thanks Sherry! blushes

I don't know how I missed your post... sorry for taking so long to answer!

My backyard is my little "Sanctuary" and I just love being out there in it. The thing about my gnomescapes is that they are constantly changing. For example... all the beautiful purple ground cover you see (potato plants they are called) -- were eaten by a hungry varmit! LOL... a Wascally Wabbit ate every last one of them. But -- a Sanctuary is a Sanctuary and all varmits are welcome. Hee hee! So that entire Gnomescape had to be redone. There are pics of it somewhere on this forum... I'll see if I can find the thread.

Gneville's Door is over 3 feet high and I had it specially made. I wish it still looked that nice -- but alas the Florida humidity has "aged" it. MissGnomer again cautions gnomescapers about using wooden items. They are very pretty but they do not last and I don't care where you live or what you coat them with. I think I'll do a thread on wooden items... hmmm scratches head... thought I did... must look into that!

I love love love that bridge -- it's well over a foot long -- almost two feet I think. I got it a few years ago from Collections Etc. Although they haven't sold that bridge in a long time I am always hopeful they will bring it back -- I could use a new one *sigh*

The link below will take you right to the "garden" section of Collections, Etc.
Be sure to also check out the "New Items" section as well!

The bridge was one of the last things I acquired from Collections. It showed in the catalog with 'planter boxes' that said
Welcome on both sides... I just left them off when I put it together. I swear I see it in the catalogs I still receive.

Tammy I haven't seen that bridge in forever -- (I left the boxes off of mine too!)

Just searched Collections and I can't find it *sigh*

If you EVER find it anywhere else -- please snarff it up and
I'll pay you for it OR let me know ASAP so I can snarff it up!

Hee hee!!!
