Unveiling The Giant Mushroom House
Unveiling The Giant Mushroom House
In an earler blog post… I stated that I may have to repaint the giant mushroom house after I had a good look at it. And while I loved the size, the features, the shape, etc. — I simply thought that the paint job ruined the whole thing. It looked “cheesy” to me. I am forever telling my fellow gnomers to make sure their gnomescapes blend well with their surroundings.
There is no way this shroom house would have passed the “blend test” before — it was just too — well — cheesy. LOL

Mushroom House After

In my opinion — NO comparison!

Gnome Garden Updates
Gnome Garden Updates
I am way behind in updating you as to the Gnomescaping that has gone on in my Gnome Sanctuary… (backyard - LOL)…
I thought it would be fun to post a before and after picture of a section of my yard before and then after I was through gnoming it. It was a lot of work to make Gneville’s new home — but I had help from the other gardening gnomes in the sanctuary.

After:

Amazing what a few rocks and plants will do. I’m actuallly very pleased with the way it turned out. This is only one small corner of my yard. I have a much bigger project coming up on the other side of the yard. A brand new fence went up and a whole new part of the Gnome Sanctuary is “waiting” for me. LOL!

Vintage Heissner #988
I’m happy to report I “snagged” my very first Vintage Heissner #988 Gnome. And he is a cutie! He is sitting on a stump, playing a flute and has a little blue bird sitting on this foot singing. I’ve not seen one like this.

I “sniped” him up in the the last few minutes of an auction I had been watching on eBay. I’ve become rather good at sniping I must say.
Can’t wait to get this little gnome home — so I can take pics of him and post them on the site.
*Picture above was taken of him on his first day at the Sanctuary. He immediately went straight to the birdbath — and played a lovely tune for us.
